Migration Policy

Shared Hosting

Anchor will do their best to migrate your site to the Anchor Reef platform. What the migration service does not guarantee is that the site will work without any additional modifications from either yourself and/or your web developer(s). By purchasing the migration add-on, you are not automatically entitled to a migration as it will be subject to a suitability test which will factor your site's current environment and its age and/or complexity to see if it can viably be hosted by Anchor Reef.

If Anchor does not believe your site is suitable for Anchor Reef, we will credit or refund your purchase for the migration add-on and provide further advice as you may be suitable for our other services, such as VPS, Cloud or Dedicated offerings.

Anchor will require certain information to provide migration, such as archives with your site's files/folders as well as database dumps. We may also require username/passwords to your existing environments. Please note that Anchor will not be responsible for any liabilities, costs or fees incurred while Anchor assesses and/or migrates your site.

Emails and Email Accounts

Anchor will do their best to migrate your email and email accounts to the Anchor Reef platform. This service does not guarantee that *all* emails will be migrated as some limitations do apply, for example, some services do not permit emails larger than 10MB per email and an email with a large or a number of attachments may breach this, it may not be migrated. It is the client's responsibility to verify that all emails are migrated correctly, we will provide a report at the end of migration per email with statistics such as # of emails imported and # of skipped emails.

If Anchor does not believe your email(s) can be migrated successfully or your setup is too complex or inaccessible, we will credit or refund your purchase for the migration add-on and provide further advice.

Anchor will require certain information to provide migration, such as your ISP or current provider's email settings. We may also require username/passwords to your existing environments. Please note that Anchor will not be responsible for any liabilities, costs or fees incurred while Anchor assesses and/or migrates your email and email addresses.
